The Hunter log cabin model is our most popular model. All corners are hand fit, the butt n pass type, using high quality eastern white pine. Hunter cabins are available in 10 and 12' box widths (over all widths are approx. 12 and 14' wide). Lengths start at 14' and go up in 2' increments to 32' max. Standard construction features of the Hunter Cabin is 2" pressure treated tongue in groove floor, steel or custom wood door, 3-6 windows, 2 gable vents, loft above porch w/ladder/guard, 30 year shingles or metal roof (choice of colors), Sikkens brand exterior stained (choice of colors), 16 rows of 4x6" solid eastern white pine logs, logs are tongue in groove, hand fit, w/rubber insulating strip between, interior cedar trim around door and windows, 1" tongue in groove solid pine roof deck and treated skids. Standard Hunter cabin overall height is 11'.
Progressive Cabin Options
A few of the options that are available-extra loft space, gloss coat interior, thermopane windows, insulation in roof and or floor, cedar logs, electric package, screened porch, pre cut cabin kits, cedar beams/rafters, interior walls, sleeping bunks w/room (choice of bedding size), roll out under bunk storage drawers, cedar window sills, entry awning, complete kitchen/bathrooms; cabinets, 12/12 roof pitch onsite built and onsite porch roof.
Delivery is done by an independent freight company using 4 wheel drive pickups, pulling specially designed goose neck hydraulic trailers. The site must be level and dry (4-6" of crushed stone makes a good base) and accessible for the truck and trailer. The cabins weigh about 35-40 lbs per sq foot, so solid ground for travel is essential. Freight charges are based on a per mile loaded charge. Before buying, check with local authorities on zoning regulations.
